15 Coverage of tree layers

The coverage of each tree layer is reported in 5% steps.

Only tree layers are included that have at least a 10% coverage.

The sum of the coverages of all tree layers may be > 100%.

The coverage estimate refers to the plot area.

The coverage is estimated as a projection of branches and foliage to the plot surface.

Missing data is reported as value -9999.

Note: Tree coverage estimates conducted within the ground vegetation survey are related to the ground vegetation subplot.
